Municipality of Nestos

The collaboration between Lioncode and the Municipality of Nestos is built on a long-standing relationship of trust, established with the shared goal of leveraging technology to improve citizens’ everyday lives. From the first digital services and the development of the e-Nestos mobile application to the implementation of modern communication and citizen service tools, the Municipality invested early in its digital transformation journey.

This commitment was recognized in 2018, when the Municipality of Nestos received a Silver Award at the Best City Awards in the “Everyday Citizen Services” category, highlighting its dedication to innovation and the delivery of high-quality digital public services.

Today, this collaboration continues with the complete redesign of the Municipality’s official website. Lioncode designed and developed a modern, technologically advanced digital platform focused on contemporary UI/UX design, intuitive navigation and fast access to the information and online services citizens rely on every day.

Particular emphasis was placed on web accessibility, with full compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, ensuring that the Municipality’s information and digital services are accessible to everyone. The project is aligned with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), supporting the delivery of inclusive and accessible digital public services.

The new website represents the next step in the Municipality of Nestos’ digital evolution, strengthening transparency, public communication and citizen services through modern, accessible technologies.
