Public Social Welfare Organization
The Social Welfare Center of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is the region’s official public welfare organization, providing essential support services for children, older adults, people with disabilities, individuals with chronic illnesses and other vulnerable social groups. Lioncode designed and developed the organization’s new website to improve public access to information and make its services and facilities more accessible to citizens.
The new website was built with a strong focus on usability, clear information architecture and intuitive navigation across a wide range of social services and content. A responsive design ensures an optimal experience on every device, while the custom-developed platform was tailored to the organization’s operational needs and administrative structure.
Through the website, users can:
- Access information about the organization’s facilities, services and social initiatives
- Easily find contact details and information for each regional branch
- Stay informed through announcements, programs and public welfare updates
Special emphasis was placed on web accessibility, with full compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. The project aligns with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), ensuring that digital services and information remain accessible and inclusive for all citizens.
