Agricultural Cooperative of Nestos
In 1988, the first Agricultural Cooperative of Asparagus Producers was founded in the Nestos area of Kavala. The purpose of the cooperative was the development and promotion of asparagus cultivation. The “A.S. Nestos,” within which a group of producers operates, has, besides asparagus, also developed strong activity in the cultivation of crops such as kiwi, apricot, peach, nectarine, and plum.
